Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ
What services do you offer?
I offer comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, supportive counseling, and mindfulness-based interventions. My practice supports adolescents through adulthood navigating challenges such as depression, anxiety, insomnia, mood disorders, and significant life transitions. All treatment plans are highly personalized to align with your unique needs and goals.
What can I expect during my first appointment?
Your initial appointment is a collaborative conversation to understand your history, current concerns, and aspirations for care. We'll explore your challenges and begin to outline a treatment plan tailored to your preferences and lifestyle. My goal is for you to feel comfortable, respected, and fully informed throughout your care.
Do you offer telehealth appointments?
Yes. Telehealth is my preferred option for care, offering you convenience and privacy through secure virtual sessions. In addition to in-person appointments, telehealth allows you to access high-quality psychiatric care from the comfort of your home or while traveling, with flexible scheduling to fit your busy life.
How do I schedule an appointment?
You can request an appointment by email, or by using the secure online booking system on my website. I aim to accommodate your scheduling needs and offer timely availability for both new and returning clients.
Do you accept insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider, so services are paid at the time of your appointment. If your insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for reimbursement after meeting your deductible. Most services are also eligible for payment through Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA).
What is your cancellation policy?
To respect both your time and mine, I request at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a charge equal to the full session fee.
How do you ensure privacy and confidentiality?
Your privacy is of utmost importance. All sessions are conducted in a confidential, discreet setting, and your personal information is protected in accordance with the highest professional and legal standards.
What sets your practice apart?
My practice is intentionally small, allowing me to provide an unparalleled level of personalized attention, extended appointment times, and direct access to support between sessions. With advanced clinical training and a commitment to ongoing professional development, I offer care that is both sophisticated and deeply compassionate.
Am I licensed to provide care in your state?
I am currently licensed to practice psychiatry in New York State and provide services to individuals located within this state.
